Lakarcade proudly marks another significant milestone in its journey with the grand opening of its 8th showroom at Shangri-La Colombo, further strengthening its presence within Sri Lanka’s premium hospitality and retail landscape.

The new showroom represents Lakarcade’s third location in collaboration with the Shangri-La Group, joining its established outlets at One Galle Face Mall and Shangri-La Hambantota.

This continued partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering exceptional retail experiences while celebrating and promoting the richness of Sri Lanka’s artistic and cultural heritage.

Taking Sri Lankan Craftsmanship to the World

At the heart of Lakarcade’s mission is a commitment to creating meaningful market opportunities for rural Sri Lankan artisans by connecting their authentic craftsmanship with international travellers and customers from around the world.

By bringing traditional Sri Lankan masterworks into prestigious hospitality destinations such as Shangri-La Colombo, Lakarcade helps strengthen the tourism-related economy, improve the livelihoods of artisan communities, and contribute towards generating valuable foreign exchange for Sri Lanka.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the management of Shangri-La for their ongoing partnership and shared vision. This expansion enables us to further amplify the global reach of our local craftsmen, offering guests from around the world an authentic piece of Sri Lankan heritage while uplifting the grassroots artisan economy.”
